"Cool, comfortable and made with the protection I look for in a glove"

Let’s face it: we all have some piece of motorcycle kit that’s our hands-down favorite. Mine is, pardon the pun, my Mickey glove by Racer gloves. When you pick them up you notice that the leather feels like quality leather. Inspecting the stitching (which all motorcycle riders should do with every piece of motorcycle safety apparel) and you’ll also see that it’s double-stitched.

I’m both a street and dual sport rider, and I like that these gloves do it all for me. They’re a short cuff glove with a combination of leather and mesh construction, the mesh being SuperFabric®. The Mickey Racer glove has covered hard protection over the knuckles and across the palm, with leather protectors on the fingers. The Mickey also has a palm slider and silicone diamond grips on the fingers.

I took these gloves to Israel with me where I did a glove test in the extreme desert conditions and in extreme heat. I really noticed an air-flow difference over my other non-perforated gloves. Although these gloves only come in black, I don’t find that they’re any hotter than a pair of white gloves I also own (and compared side by side).

There’s no down side to these gloves, and at $115.99 they’re a terrific buy. Cool, comfortable and made with the protection I look for in a glove, they’re also versatile enough for me to use as my everyday gloves, whether I’m staying on pavement or riding off-road. Now that I’ve taken a couple of trips with the Mickeys, they live in my helmet waiting for my next ride.

A note about the fit: These gloves are tighter to get on than what you are probably used to, especially when brand new. Make the effort, though, because once they’re on they’ll be one of the best fits you’ve ever tried in motorcycle gloves providing they are the right size (for what it’s worth I did find them to be true to their size). In fact, all the racer gloves feel that way, and that’s why they are becoming so popular now.
